Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid are turned into Mr Men CARTOONS

They have well and truly embraced their cheeky nicknames since being branded Shouty and Pouty by a troll on Twitter.

And Good Morning Britain’s Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid have now been turned into Mr Men characters inspired by their playful monikers.

The popular breakfast TV duo are being immortalised in the style of the Roger Hargreaves famous illustrations to mark the 50th anniversary of the books.

Piers, who has perviously declared he ‘loves’ his nickname, can be seen as a blue Mr Shouty with his recognisable quiffed hair boasting a few grey streaks.

His character dons a tie and smart black shoes while wearing a frown expression and appears to be mid argument with an animated hand raised in the air.

While Susanna’s Little Miss Pouty cartoon is a bright yellow colour and features her long brunette locks.

She is kitted out in snazzy red heels and with a slick of bright rouge lipstick – perfect to showcase the pout – with the drawing holding one hand in the air waving.

The publishers are set to launch two new characters and have asked fans, for the first time ever, to vote for their favourite from a shortlist of five characters.

Making the shortlist are: Mr. Calm, Little Miss Kind, Little Miss Brave, Little Miss Energy and Mr. Brilliant.

Sadly, Piers and Susanna will not be joining the permanent cast of 90 characters but for more information on the poll.

Adam Hargreaves, son of the original creator additionally said: ‘It’s amazing to see people are still connecting to the books after 50 years.

‘They have always been about getting people to relate with the unique characters and identify the different traits of their own personalities, so it’s great to involve the fans and let them help shape the next 50 years of Mr. Men’

Piers and Susanna previously poked fun at their Shouty and Pouty nicknames when signing off for their summer break last year.

The duo thanked crew for keeping the show going amid the pandemic and shared a montage of some highlights inspired by their nickname’s sounding like ‘a couple of hot detectives’.

They showed some hilarious best bits of the presenting duo which ended with a clip of Susanna saying: ‘You for once need to pipe down.’

Piers added: ‘Well we are going to pipe down, because it’s been a very long year and we are going to take a little break.’

He continued: ‘We want to thanks viewers for all the feedback you’ve given us, a lot of good feedback or the not so good feedback.

‘But you know what, we take all feedback, that’s why we live in a democracy – we’re allowed to have an opinion,’ Piers joked.

The duo then signed off for the summer saying: ‘Shouty and Pouty are off.’
