Saudi Arabia will host the second Multilateral Industrial Policy Forum, affiliated with the UN Industrial Development Organization, in Riyadh this October.

The forum, organized by the Kingdom’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, will take place on Oct. 23-24, marking the first time it is held outside UNIDO’s headquarters in Vienna.

The agenda features a ministerial roundtable that will bring together global ministers and leaders in industrial transformation to review industrial policies, challenges, and proposed solutions.

The event aligns with the ministry’s efforts to strengthen its partnership with UNIDO and contribute to the development of innovative industrial solutions and policies that support industrial growth regionally and globally.

The forum also provides an opportunity to showcase Saudi Arabia’s achievements in the industrial sector through an accompanying exhibition. This will highlight initiatives to localize promising industries and emphasize the significant investment opportunities within the sector.

Aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and the National Industrial Strategy, the forum seeks to enhance the competitiveness of the industrial sector and foster innovation and creativity.

The event will include dialogue sessions on utilizing clean energy sources in industry, featuring prominent global practices to improve supply chain flexibility and adaptability. Discussions will also cover the latest digital technologies in manufacturing, including artificial intelligence.

Under the theme “Turning Challenges into Sustainable Solutions: The New Era of Industrial Policy,” the MIPF is expected to attract around 3,000 industry leaders, decision-makers, CEOs, specialists, and those interested in advancing industrial policies.
