Civil Defense conducts bus fire drill in Mina

The Civil Defense Forces conducted a fire simulation exercise involving a bus fire inside the King Fahd Tunnel toward Mina, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The drill, carried out with the participation of relevant authorities, aimed to enhance evacuation procedures, measure gas and pollutant levels during a fire, practice smoke-removal techniques, and refine firefighting tactics.

The annual exercises are crucial for the Civil Defense Forces to ensure optimal preparedness for the Hajj season.

The forces’ commitment prioritizes the safety and security of pilgrims and enables them to effectively respond to any emergency, SPA reported.

The Civil Defense raised the level of readiness in Mina to receive pilgrims, adopting several measures to maintain their safety, monitoring the causes of risks in the Hajj pilgrims’ camps by intensifying field tours, and following up on the Hajj pilgrimage institutions to confirm their compliance with safety instructions and procedures.
