KSrelief extends food aid to Yemen and Sudan

The Saudi aid agency KSrelief has distributed food and shelter aid to thousands of people in Yemen and Sudan, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

In Yemen, KSrelief distributed 6,000 cartons of dates to the most vulnerable families in the governorates of Aden and Marib, benefiting 36,000 individuals.

The center also distributed food baskets to 682 of the neediest families in the Lahij governorate of Yemen, benefiting 4,774 individuals.

In Sudan, KSrelief distributed 148 shelter bags to displaced families in Khartoum State, benefiting 851 individuals.

The center also distributed 530 food baskets to displaced families in the Blue Nile State, benefiting 1,795 individuals.

Since 2015, KSrelief has implemented 2,670 projects worth more than $6.5 billion in 95 countries, in cooperation with 175 local, regional and international partners.

The bulk of the support has gone to Yemen ($4.3 billion), Syria ($391 million), Palestine ($370 million) and Somalia ($227 million).

KSrelief’s programs cover food security, health, sanitation, shelter, nutrition, education, telecommunications and logistics.
