Somalian President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud recently visited the International Fair and Museum of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization in Madinah.
The museum was launched in February 2021 under the supervision of the Muslim World League, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The president was briefed on interactive displays such as a biography of Prophet Muhammad, in addition to models of Makkah and Madinah, the Hijrah route, atlases, maps and educational tools.
At the end of the visit, the president praised the project’s scope to benefit the Islamic nation.
Located next to the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, the museum is open 24 hours a day, and is dedicated to the history of the Islamic world and the life of Prophet Muhammad.
The museum also includes publications and displays that cite more than 25,000 instances of the Prophet Muhammad’s miraculous work.
The exhibition features dozens of paintings and interactive displays. It also includes a 4DX theater, which screens a series of films about the Prophet Muhammad’s life.
One of the pavilions in the exhibition is dedicated to the history of women in Islam and showcases the important role of women in spreading a message of truth and virtue, and the vital role women played in the life of the Prophet Muhammad.
A 3D, virtual-reality and augmented-reality technology pavilion reconstructs and describes many of the Prophet Muhammad’s personal possessions, including details of his furniture, clothing, footwear and even his comb.
