The UAE illuminated several of its landmarks in the colors of the Russian flag on Saturday night in a show of solidarity with the victims of the terrorist attack at a Moscow concert hall, the Emirates News Agency reported.
At least 143 people were killed and dozens injured in the attack on Friday evening, for which Daesh has claimed responsibility.
Among the chosen landmarks were the Burj Khalifa, Burj Al-Arab, Dubai Frame, Khalifa University, Sheikh Zayed Bridge and the offices of the Abu Dhabi and Al-Dhafra city municipalities, Abu Dhabi Global Market, ADNOC, ADNEC Group and Mubadala.
The UAE condemned the attack and denounced all forms of violence and extremism that threaten security and stability.
The Kremlin said it had arrested 11 people in connection with the attack, including four who are believed to have been directly involved and were allegedly on their way to Ukraine.
