Officials from Jordan and Kuwait discussed opportunities for closer economic collaboration at a meeting of the Jordanian-Kuwaiti Trade Technical Committee in Amman on Tuesday.
The committee discussed initiatives to strengthen commercial ties and facilitate knowledge sharing in sectors such as industrial development, small- and medium-sized enterprises, standards and customs, agriculture, transport and healthcare.
The meeting was chaired by Dana Al-Zoubi, secretary-general of Jordan’s Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, and Ziad Al-Najem, undersecretary of Kuwait’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Jordan News Agency reported.
Al-Zoubi said the discussions were important in developing trade and investment relationships. Both sides said they were optimistic about the meeting’s outcomes and expected it to lead to better trade and economic ties.
