Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Hissein Brahim Taha recently received ambassador Turko Daudov, Russia’s permanent representative to the OIC, at the body’s headquarters in Jeddah.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation between the organization and Russia, along with developments in Gaza, the Palestinian issue, and other matters of mutual concern.
Taha reiterated the OIC’s position in calling on the international community to take effective and immediate action to stop Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, and he and Daudov pointed out the need to work toward a two-state solution to the conflict.
