Catmosphere is set to revive its annual event, Catwalk, on Feb. 10.

The event aims to unite participants from both Saudi Arabia and around the world for a 7 km walk, featuring a host of engaging activities along the route.

Catwalk, an initiative organized by Catmosphere, serves as an annual celebration in honor of the declaration last year by the UN designating Feb. 10 as the International Day of the Arabian Leopard.

Through a variety of social activities such as this, the nonprofit organization Catmosphere, founded by Princess Reema bint Bandar, aims to prevent the Arabian leopard from becoming extinct, to educate participants about the animal, and connect people with their environment.

The event has attracted admiration from locals, residents and officials within the Kingdom. This year’s celebration aligns with efforts to preserve biodiversity in the Kingdom, whether on land, in the air or underwater. The initiative aims to protect the environment and establish a balanced ecosystem in Saudi Arabia.

The celebration of this critically endangered species serves as a call to individuals of all ages to actively engage in addressing its precarious situation.

Catmosphere says that the activity promises to be fun, flexible and inclusive. The organizations also extends an invitation to individuals of all abilities to participate.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the seven big cats and will be encouraged to dedicate their Catwalk to their favorite big cat. The seven big cats include jaguars, lions, snow leopards and pumas.

Catwalks in Riyadh will be held at Diriyah, Al-Amariyah, Boulevard World, and Boulevard City, in addition to other privately organized walks.
