SASCO, EVIQ sign deal to propel EV infrastructure in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s electric vehicle infrastructure is poised for improvement following a new agreement signed by the Saudi Automotive and Equipment Services Co.

In collaboration with the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Co., the memorandum of understanding seeks to foster cooperation and the exchange of expertise in the development and enhancement of the Kingdom’s EV infrastructure, according to a press release.

This initiative will play a significant role in creating a sustainable environment for the use of EVs, and promoting their adoption by individuals and companies.

Additionally, it will strengthen the capacity of the EV sector, contributing to the Kingdom’s competitiveness in the industry and positioning it as a leading hub for innovation and development in this field.

Furthermore, this partnership aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, specifically in its commitment to reducing carbon emissions and achieving environmental sustainability.

According to the agreement, both entities will collaborate closely to introduce innovative and sustainable solutions for the development of EV charging networks.

This includes the establishment of fast-charging stations and public charging points across all cities and provinces of the Kingdom.

Additionally, the recently inked agreement entails SASCO leveraging its expertise and resources in technical and operational services.

On the other hand, EVIQ will bring its experience to the table, particularly in the development and implementation of EV charging infrastructure projects.
