Little Asia festival’s “On the Move” zone is taking visitors on a captivating and educational adventure.

Designed to enlighten the public about the magnificent world of elephants, this experience offers a wide range of interactive activities for visitors to enjoy.

The shower experience allows visitors to witness firsthand the bathing rituals of elephants, while the feeding experience offers an up-close and personal interaction with the magnificent creatures.

For those seeking a panoramic view, the exploring platform provides an elevated vantage point to observe their majestic presence.

Additionally, a museum within the experience zone offers comprehensive information about elephants, including their types, age, eating habits, water consumption, birth weight, stages of life, habitat, and even intriguing details about their hearts.

The shower and feeding experiences are carefully overseen by highly trained professionals who closely monitor the process to ensure the safety and well-being of both the participants and the elephants.

The zone supervisor shared the names and ages of the three resident elephants: 46-year-old Jumbo, 52-year-old Burma, and 42-year-old Siyam — all of whom have have their own designated area within the zone, providing visitors with an intimate and immersive experience.

Fatima, a mother of two, said: “The elephant experience was an eye-opening adventure for my children. From learning about their habits to witnessing them up close, it was a truly immersive experience. My kids enjoyed each and every experience. The souvenir shop was an added bonus.”

Another visitor, Ahmed Mohammed, said: “Being able to feed and interact with these magnificent creatures was an unforgettable moment. The educational aspects combined with the hands-on activities made it a perfect outing for the entire family.”

The experience encompasses a section for painting elephant sculptures for children.

Tickets for the experience are priced SR25 ($6.67) for children under 12 years old and SR45 for adults. For those seeking a more immersive experience, there are options to upgrade to a feeding experience ticket for SR75 or an elephant washing ticket for SR125. The tickets can be bought at the festival and the activities are open daily from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Little Asia is the most highly acclaimed addition to Jeddah’s events calendar, highlighting the diverse Asian cultures in one central location.

White Beach pavilion

Another fascinating activity at the festival is the White Beach pavilion featuring fun activities for visitors of all ages.

The main highlight of the White Beach pavilion is the mesmerizing ball beach, where visitors can immerse themselves in a sea of over half a million white balls. Accompanied by upbeat beach music, local DJs keep the atmosphere lively and entertaining.

The area features two levels, with a shallow section of around 0.5 meters for kids and a deeper section of 1.5 meters for adults to enjoy.

Approximately 70 people can participate in this unique experience for 15 minutes, with an average of 150-200 people enjoying the activity each day.

Visitors have been raving about their experiences.

Sarah Mohammed said: “The White Beach was an absolute blast. My kids couldn’t get enough of the ball beach, and I even joined in on the fun. It’s such a unique concept, and the music made it even more enjoyable. We will definitely be back.”

Salwa, who visited with her friends and called it a fantastic experience, said: “We had a great time splashing around in the ball pool and soaking up the vibrant atmosphere. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking for a fun-filled day out.”

Visitors can also indulge in delicious snacks while relaxing on the beach.

The entry ticket is SR100 per person, with a fast-track option available for SR150 on the Saudi Events website. The activity is open on weekdays from 5 p.m. to midnight. and on Thursdays and Fridays from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m.
