Saudi crown prince congratulates Kuwait’s new PM

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Saturday made a phone call to Sheikh Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah to congratulate him on his appointment as Kuwait’s prime minister.

Sheikh Mohammed thanked the crown prince for his “kind fraternal sentiments,” the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, sworn in as emir last month, named Sheikh Mohammed the country’s new prime minister on Thursday. He replaced Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, son of the late emir.
