The Saudi Visual Arts Commission recently inaugurated the “Home of My Thoughts” exhibition at Hittin Palace in Riyadh, honoring Makkah Gov. Prince Khalid Al-Faisal’s artistic and cultural journey.
The event showcases the prince’s contributions to Saudi culture through his literary and artistic works.
Prince Khalid’s work extends to poetry, literature, and visual art, including 480 poems and 18 books.
On the first day of the exhibition, visitors were given guided tours around the art collections, and listened to songs written by the prince.
The exhibition highlights two main themes, the first exploring the individual drawing creativity from language, words, and Arabic letters to express poetry and literature inspired by the spirit of the homeland.
The second theme centers on the prince’s influence on generations of thinkers, artists, poets, and music pioneers in the Arab world.
One of the exhibition activities involves a dialogue session looking at the link between literature and art, featuring artists and poets. Another gathering will involve artists from Al-Muftaha Village discussing how Prince Khalid’s personality and artistic depth have influenced them.
