1,293 fines issued after 1,257 health and safety inspections in Damad

Officials in Jazan, in Damad governorate, carried out 1,257 inspections during July and August to check the application of, and compliance with, municipal and health-related requirements and standards.

Abdulmajid Mazkour, the mayor of Damad, said field teams inspected 406 markets, 537 health facilities, 145 buildings, 115 excavation sites and 54 other sites. As a result of their checks, 1,293 fines were issued.

Municipality teams will continue to carry out inspections to ensure facilities comply with regulations and adhere to municipal health procedures, he added, and meet the highest standards of public safety to protect health and safety of the population.

He urged the public to cooperate with this work and to report any concerns by calling the complaints center on 940 or by messaging the municipality’s official social media accounts.
