The next day will include sessions on preserving archives, providing a general introduction to archive principles, and facilitating an open conversation about the significance of heritage.
On the third day, the program will delve into digital innovation and the use of computer-based cataloging for retrieval, web access to information, and public access to heritage within museums.
On the fourth day, participants will learn restoration techniques that encompass various approaches, ranging from archaeological artworks to contemporary art.
The fifth and final day of the program will conclude by focusing on technical careers related to the conservation process. Participants will have the opportunity to explore and gain insights into various technical roles involved in the field of conservation.
In 2021, the Museums Commission unveiled its strategy for the transformation of the museum sector, which encompasses ambitious plans to expand the number and variety of museums throughout the Kingdom. The aim is to attract more visitors and enhance the nation’s cultural identity.
As part of this strategy, there will be a concentrated effort to create tangible assets across the country that showcase and celebrate the cultural heritage of the nation.
