Saudi minister meets Paraguay’s president-elect

Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Climate Envoy Adel Al-Jubeir on Tuesday met the President-elect of Paraguay Santiago Pena Palacios in Asuncion, the capital of the South American country.

Al-Jubeir, who is on an official visit to Paraguay, passed on the greetings of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the president, government, and people of Paraguay.

During the meeting — attended by Saudi Non-Resident Ambassador to Paraguay Hussein Asiri, Paraguayan Minister of Foreign Affairs Ruben Ramirez, Paraguayan Minister of Public Works Claudia Centurion, and other senior officials — they discussed bilateral relations and issues of mutual concern.

The Saudi minister also held talks with Paraguayan Minister of Industry and Commerce Luis Alberto Castiglioni, discussing among other matters ways to further strengthen ties between the two nations.
