Saudi Arabia: Confronting drugs is an “international duty”

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multiple International Affairs, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Rassi, stressed the importance of strengthening international efforts in confronting the smuggling and manufacturing of drugs and their danger to societies.

Al-Rassi participated in the ministerial meeting via video conference on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, to launch the international coalition to confront the threats of manufactured drugs, in the presence of the Director of the International Cooperation Department for Drug Control, Brigadier General Faisal Al-Otaibi.

The Kingdom is making great efforts in combating narcotics and psychotropic substances of all kinds, by monitoring smuggling networks and criminal schemes for drug smuggling, drawing up the necessary plans to arrest them, and conducting intensive anti-drug security campaigns.

The security forces stand as a bulwark against drug smuggling and promotion. Due to their qualification, training, field experience, and financial and technical capabilities.
