Minister of Culture Prince Badr Bin Abdullah Bin Farhan and his Italian counterpart Gennaro Sangiulian signed on Friday a memorandum of understanding to enhance cultural cooperation between the two countries.
The MoU stipulates exchanging expertise, enhancing cooperation in preserving tangible and intangible heritage, as per the relevant UNESCO conventions, launching joint strategic projects in various cultural fields, and enhancing cooperation in combating illicit trafficking of cultural property.
The two ministers discussed Saudi-Italian cultural relations and the means to enhance them in various fields, including heritage, architecture, design, visual arts, museums, fashion, culinary arts, and music.
They also stressed the need to implement joint cultural projects and organize jointly international festivals.
The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance bilateral relations.
