After being accused of rape, Ashraf Hakimi’s wife breaks her silence and says she feels ashamed

The Spanish actress of Tunisian origin, Heba Abouk, announced that she will stand by the victim, after her husband, Paris Saint-Germain and Morocco national team player Ashraf Hakimi, was accused of raping a French girl last February.

In her first comment since Hakimi was accused of rape, Abouk said in a statement she posted on the “Story” feature on the Instagram application, that she felt an obligation to publicly publish this statement to express her state of mind and clarify some of the false information that is being circulated about her.

The actress considered that silence might be a good option in some sensitive topics or issues.

A month after Hakimi’s accusation, Dabouk, who decided to break her silence, confirmed that she felt an urgent need to speak, in order to be able to resume her life at all levels and with the least possible amount of damage and trauma, and to protect her children above all.

Dabok married the international player in 2019 and bore him two children, and stressed that her two children are “of course her absolute priority.”

And she announced in her statement that after thinking about the matter, she and the father of her two children made the decision to separate, and they stopped living together pending divorce proceedings.
She explained that she needed some time to process this trauma and stressed that she has always been and will be on the side of the victims. “Given the seriousness of the accusation leveled, we can only be confident in the smooth course of justice,” she said.

She considered that in addition to facing the feeling of pain and accepting the grief that one feels after the failure of a family project and separation, she had to face this shame.

At the end of her statement, Dbouk called on people to respect her privacy, saying, “I beg you to respect my privacy and the privacy of my children in these delicate circumstances,” and thanked everyone who showed her support, love, and respect during the last period.

On March 3, Hakimi was charged with rape, according to the prosecutor’s office in Nanterre (the western suburb of the capital, Paris), while his lawyer confirmed that what happened was an “attempt to extort.”

Prosecutors questioned Hakimi following accusations by a 24-year-old woman of rape at the player’s home in Boulogne-Billancourt on February 25.

Prosecutors said that his judicial supervision prevents him from communicating with the girl. However, he is authorized to leave French territory.

Paris Saint-Germain supported Hakimi after the charge was filed.

According to a police source, the girl said she met Hakimi in January on Instagram and went to his house on Saturday via a car the player had requested to pick her up.

The source added that the girl mentioned that Hakimi kissed and touched her without her consent before he raped her. She managed to push him away, and she said a friend, who had reached out to her via text, came to pick her up.
