The magazine “Studio Somerset” recently published the actor Johnny Depp about his life and moving to Somerset County after the scandal of his divorce Amber Hurd.

After the divorce, the Hollywood star chose to live in Britain because of the orderly lifestyle and calm nature of the locals.

And Depp added: “I like places that have a certain character! The British don’t cross the line with taboos. I’m a very shy person. Here I can be who I like to be. It’s great. I like going to different places and I like meeting new people. But I’m with I’m not as open-minded as they think.”

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star added that in Somerset he was able to avoid annoying pursuits.

“Here I am not surrounded by people who want to take selfies with me,” Depp said.

The actor bought a mansion in Somerset for £13 million in 2014. According to media reports, the house has 12 bedrooms and eight bathrooms. He moved there recently.

Depp filed a defamation lawsuit in protest of an article published in the Washington Post in late 2018 in which his ex-wife, Amber Heard, complained of domestic violence.

In response, Depp demanded $50 million in compensation from Heard, who in turn filed a lawsuit against Depp for $100 million, accusing the famous actor’s lawyer of lying.

During judicial reviews, unpleasant details of the couple’s life together emerged. Heard’s lawyers claimed that she was subjected to violence by Depp, the actor, in turn, denied this, saying that he was the victim.

The court heard an audio recording showing Hurd hitting him. According to Depp, during one altercation Heard threw a bottle at him, severing the tip of his finger. The actress, for her part, said that this was self-defense. She also revealed her husband’s drug problems.

Depp and Hurd’s relationship began in 2011, in January 2014 he proposed to her, and a year later they got married, but in May 2016 Amber filed for divorce.
