A 3-year-old girl, Langlam Vicky, was found dead after drowning in a sewage ditch at a primary school in South Africa.

The child was lost for a whole day before her body was found, on the seventh of this month.

The birth of the child said that the life of the family had turned into a tragedy, adding that “there are no words that can describe the pain I feel, the pain is unbearable, I have not been able to sleep for weeks, there are no words that can describe my feeling.”
And human rights organizations in South Africa said they hoped that this tragic incident would prompt action to eliminate the phenomenon of open sewage pits.

Department of Basic Education spokeswoman Elia Mlanga said police were still investigating the circumstances of Langalam’s death.
