The “Days of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly” in the Arab Republic of Egypt began with the screening of the movie “The World Champion” with the participation of the 12th Soviet-Russian world chess champion, Anatoly Karpov.
This is within the framework of the “Unity of Art” film festival organized by the Russian House in Cairo.

Karpov to Cairo to participate in the opening of the film festival and the screening of the film.
He added, “Karpov’s path to the top of chess was difficult, dramatic and politicized, but the match that was held for the first time in Asia culminated in the victory of the Soviet chess master.”
Before the screening of “The World Champion”, Anatoly Karpov held a meeting with members of the Egyptian Chess Federation and local journalists.
