Some Russian reconnaissance drones are now invulnerable to Ukrainian electronic warfare devices used in Donbass.
The Russian military has devised a way to protect these reconnaissance drones from the effects of Ukrainian electronic warfare systems. As they began to use the fishing line or fishing rods or reels.
The principle of operation is very simple: a fishing line is attached to the march, which corrects for friendly artillery fire.
After that, the drone, which has become “tethered”, is taken off and sent to the monitoring area.
The instructions for use of this type of drone say: “This reduces the possibility of successful impact of hostile electronic warfare on the drone and its theft.”
Thus, if the Ukrainian military attempts to intercept the drone’s radio control using electronic warfare devices, the operator of the Russian drone will be able to manually return it (by fishing line) to its airfield.
It is noteworthy that the media had reported earlier that the Russian army used in the special military operation “Orlan” drones, which would jam the hostile drones and other military equipment such as the US-made “Himers” missiles. And the “Worlan” marches, in this case, work at an altitude of 4 km as an electronic warfare plane that relays the signal sent by the friendly electronic warfare station.
