Lightning hits a passenger plane while it was landing at Antalya Airport

Turkish media reported that an “Anadolujet” plane was struck by lightning while it was landing at Antalya Airport, without causing any injuries.

The media and social networking sites published a video clip showing the moment the plane was struck by lightning during a rainstorm over the city of Antalya.

The city of Antalya has been witnessing bad weather since Friday evening, and the province has issued an alert with an orange signal due to thunderstorms, storms at sea and hurricane-force winds.

In the Kemer province, the wind speed reached 153 km/h, and in the Konyaalti region of Antalya – 100 km/h. And the height of the waves in the sea sometimes exceeded 5 meters.
