He pointed out that in this case, singer Carole Samaha is entitled to obtain the working membership as she holds the Egyptian nationality, in accordance with Article No. 6 of the Law of the Union of the Three Artistic Syndicates, which stipulates the conditions for working membership.

The Lebanese singer, Carole Samaha, responded to the attack and criticism she was subjected to on social media, after obtaining the Egyptian Syndicate of Musical Professions card to become a member of it.

“I was visiting Captain Mustafa Kamel, and I was supposed to be registered in the syndicate a year ago, as I became an Egyptian citizen exactly 4 years ago,” Carole said on the “Al-Hekaya” program.

And she continued: “I am married to Walid Mustafa, and it is natural after my long life and I still have roots in Egypt. I belong to the syndicate, and I took the card. I was very happy with this step. I took the union card yesterday, and I am honored to be affiliated with an Egyptian syndicate.”

And she added, “Many people are surprised by the issue, because they do not know that I have an Egyptian nationality, but the issue is in confusion and misunderstanding between people and how to be Lebanese and take the carnet of an Egyptian syndicate.”

And she ended her speech: “I have strong roots that unite me in this country, and Egypt is a good thing for me. It is enough that I built a sweet family with an Egyptian man, and the ties that unite me in Egypt have become far from being a job.”
