The American transportation company, Uber, announced the introduction of a feature that will allow its drivers to know the value of the trips they agree to before they start.
The feature, called ‘Advance Fares’, shows exactly how much they will pay for the trip, and where they will end up after the passenger is delivered, according to a statement from Uber.
Uber said the change is part of its drive to make driving for its ride-sharing service more flexible.
According to the upfront fee support document, the amount offered to drivers before they accept a ride depends on “several factors, including base fares, estimated trip length and duration, pickup distance, and surprise pricing.”
In its statement, Uber also indicated a new feature, which allows drivers to see requests for other rides in their area, allowing them to choose specific trips they wish to take.
