Many iPhone owners claim that its latest update (iOS 15.6) affects battery life, which was released last week.
And users who are frustrated with their experience with the new update wrote through their accounts on “Twitter”, and one of them said that he charged his “iPhone Pro 13” at 6:30 am, and it had only 28 percent of battery power after nearly 15 An hour, stressing that his use of the phone on that day was lighter than usual.
The researchers at iAppleBytes also conducted their own battery life tests after installing the iOS 15.6 update, and found that the software degraded battery life on the vast majority of iPhone models.
The iOS 15.6 update primarily includes several important bug fixes, including fixing an annoying issue that the Settings app on the iPhone kept showing that the device’s storage space was full, even if it was free.
For his part, Znet researcher, Adrian Kingsley-Hughes, explained that installing a new operating system on the “iPhone” leads to many things running in the background, from “indexing” to “resetting the battery”, and it is possible that This lasts for hours or even days.
He added, explaining that recalibrating the battery not only consumes the phone’s power, but can give the impression that the battery is draining more quickly, when in reality it is not.
Apple has been pursuing accusations of deliberately throttling its iPhone batteries, since it admitted in 2017 that it had released an update to slow down old iPhones with aging batteries, in order to prevent them from suddenly shutting down.
