A press report revealed that the home of Britain’s Prince Harry and his American wife, Meghan Markle, was subjected to two break-in attempts by intruders in two separate incidents last May.

The time distance between the two incidents that targeted the home of Prince Harry and his wife Megan Markle in California was less than two weeks, according to the British newspaper, “The Sun”.

With these two incidents, it brings to 6 the number of security incidents related to the couple’s home in the last 14 months, which prompted the police to intervene.
Harry and Meghan are believed to be living with their two children in a $14 million mansion in Montecito, California, after relinquishing their royal duties in Britain and leaving in 2020.

The newspaper reported that Santa Barbara County police, where Montecito is located, sent a patrol to the house on the evening of May 19, when the couple were celebrating their wedding anniversary, after a warning report from the couple about the presence of an intruder.

No further details were provided about the security incident.

Twelve days later, on May 31, when Harry and Meghan were preparing to travel to Britain to participate in the platinum jubilee of Queen Elizabeth, the police received a similar warning, and no details were provided about the nature of this incident.

The US police recorded these intrusions as trespassing on the property of others, and crimes against property under “suspicious circumstances”, which are crimes according to US law that include burglary, theft, vandalism of property, or the use or threat of force.

The Sun said Santa Barbara County police handled 6 security calls in 14 months about Harry and Meghan’s mansion.
