During the match, the Blaugrana defeated the Royal Club with a single goal, scored by Brazilian player Rafinha, who recently joined Barcelona.

And the audience cheered Shakira, in a message to Pique, who separated from the Colombian singer after a long relationship, in which they had two children.
One commentator on Twitter said that Pique, who is 35 years old, deserved all the cheers fired against him on the field.

Another commented that the Barcelona coach himself, Xavi, did not find any solution to the chants, so he only laughed about what was happening on the field.

This summer, Pique and Shakira announced their separation, while some reports suggested that the reason was the player’s “betrayal” of his partner.
When the Barcelona player, Jordi Alba, was asked after the match about the chants against his colleague, he tried to downplay it, saying that the Catalan defender was not affected by the matter.

Alba added: “It’s true we heard the chants, but I don’t think Pique is worried about it, we know him.”

Alba emphasized that Pique was more motivated when he was whistled than when he was applauded.
