“Superhero” saves a baby girl from certain death

A man managed to save the life of a little girl who fell from her window, in a noble act that made the media call him a “superhero”.

And the British newspaper “The Sun” reported, Friday, that video footage documented the fall of a two-year-old girl from the window of her house on the third floor, before a man caught her, who was on the sidewalk, and his reaction was fast.
Shen Dong, 31, was parking his car on the side of the road in Tonchiang City, Zhejiang Province, east China, when he heard a strange sound.

The man looked up and saw that a baby girl had fallen on a stone ledge of the first floor, and was about to fall onto the sidewalk.
He first tried to call the police, as the video showed, as he was holding a phone in his hand, but he threw it in order to catch the child who hugged him like a father hugging his daughter.

Next to him was a woman who was also trying to save the child.

The Sun described the Chinese man as a “superhero”.

The Chinese police posted the video on Weibo, the Chinese version of Twitter.

Local reports stated that the girl sustained injuries to her legs and lungs, but she is in a stable condition.
