Syrian artist enters the Guinness Book of Records with the largest mandala painting in the world!

The young Syrian artist, Lama Zakaria, achieved a record and entered the Guinness Book of Records after her success in drawing the largest painting of mandala circles in a very distinctive way.

The artist indicated that she planned her distinguished artistic work for about two years, and her painting took about 5 months of work, actually, at a rate of 6 hours of daily work.

The young artist was able to draw 4,096 mandala circles of various diameters, colors and various decorations, the largest of which is two meters in diameter and the smallest with a diameter of 2 cm, on 8 MDF wood panels to combine them together with an area of ​​approximately 25 square meters.

Lama worked on the completion of her masterpiece in her small studio in the Syrian town of Deir Atiyah, and for this work she used acrylic colors to draw single, non-repetitive and different circles from each other.

The artist indicated that she was able to overcome the difficulties to achieve this achievement through two years of training and gaining experience, and she benefited from the Internet, which was her main reference to develop herself in this type of art. She said, “The night I achieved the record was very exceptional. Not all of me and my family slept, and perhaps the entire city… Words betrayed me when my achievement made the headlines saying (Syria achieves the Guinness World Records title), this is without a doubt one of the happiest moments of my life.”

Lama is currently studying architecture at Al-Baath University in Homs, Syria, and is trying to achieve a new record in 2023, which she will announce soon.
