In a crime that reflected a woman’s deprivation of maternal feelings, the authorities in Dagestan, Russia, arrested a woman who sold her 5-day-old baby for money she wanted to use for a nose job.

The 33-year-old woman, whose name has not been given, had told her neighbor that she wanted to sell her baby, days after giving birth, to help her find a couple who wanted to buy it.

Indeed, the neighbor found a couple to buy the baby, and the mother handed it over to them for a payment of £274. Then, when the infant required medical treatment, the couple asked for his birth certificate, but she only handed it over for another £1,370.
The mother claimed to the couple that she does not work and has no work, place to live or money at all, but she later told them that she intended to use the money she earned from selling her child for a nose job, according to the British newspaper, “Mirror”.

The woman claimed she needed a “new nose” to breathe better, but before she could get the rest, the police arrested the three for human trafficking.
