Johnny Depp’s legal team rescues him again in a physical and verbal assault lawsuit

Johnny Depp’s legal team has resolved the assault case brought against him by a member of the crew of his 2018 movie City of Lies.

The lawsuit, the first since his high-profile case against his ex-wife Amber Heard, was settled for an undisclosed sum of money.

On April 13, 2017, when Depp reported filming restrictions on the film’s set, Depp became angry and verbally and physically abused him, and Depp denied the allegations at the time.

In a civil complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Brooks alleged that Depp hit him twice in the ribs and then shouted, “I’ll give you $100,000 for my punches now!” While he was on the set of the movie “Labyrinth” in Los Angeles.

Brooks claimed that Depp’s breath “smelled of alcohol”, and that Depp’s bodyguards had to physically restrain the actor after he attacked Brooks, and Brooks also claimed that he was fired for refusing to remain silent about the incident.

Brooks’ attorneys wrote: “On the Monday following the incident, April 16, 2017, Plaintiff returned to the production office to work on finishing the show upon arrival. Plaintiff was informed that Seagal wanted him to write and sign a declaration stating that he would not sue the production. His services were immediately terminated.”

Depp denied the allegations against him, and Depp’s lawyers wrote in response filings that Brooks “provoked” Depp, who was afraid for his safety.

“The actions of which Brooks complained were caused by the unlawful and unlawful conduct in that Brooks acted intentionally and maliciously and conducted his activities in such a way that Defendant Depp feared for his safety, according to Defendant Depp’s notes,” Depp’s legal team responded.

Crew members in the film later told the Daily Beast that the two men “faced each other for a second,” but that no punches were fired, a piece of information that was refuted by Brooks’ attorney.

Critics considered that the lawyer for the famous star, Camille Vasquez, managed for the second time in a row to obtain the appropriate settlement in favor of her client, Johnny Depp, after they achieved great success together in the Amber Heard case and topped the trend of social networking sites because of their close relationship.
