A man saves an orangutan after being drowned by performing CPR

A visitor’s attempt to feed an orangutan in a Vietnamese zoo led to an incident that would have ended in tragedy, had it not been for the intervention of a staff member at the last minute.
A visitor to the Vietnamese zoo (Vinpearl Safari Park Phu Quoc) tried to feed the orangutan, throwing him a piece of food that fell on the edge of a small lake in the park.
The orangutan tried to pick up food from the edge, but failed and instead fell into the water.

In the video, another orangutan is seen approaching to try to save the drowned, but it seems that this animal cannot swim, as it retreated from its attempt to rescue and took food instead, so that the other orangutan drowned in front of the camera lenses.
Fortunately, a zoo employee jumped into the water and pulled the orangutan to the edge of the lake, dragging it with difficulty, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the orangutan for its last survival, according to the zoo’s statement.
