A dangerous “and useless” jump to escape the American police

A young man risked his life and made a dangerous jump while escaping from the American police who pursued him after he was driving his car ignoring the seat belt.

Kendall Floyd, 25, was walking around the Williamsburg area of Brooklyn in New York, on Wednesday, when police officers spotted him driving a car without a seat belt.

The police stopped the young man, but he suddenly opened his car door, assaulted a policeman and ran between buildings, then climbed to a pillar under a subway track near Flushing Avenue station, according to the American newspaper “New York Post”.

And when Floyd found himself in trouble above the pillar and policemen under him, he decided to perform a dangerous jump to fall on the roof of a commercial building, according to the footage spread on social media platforms.

In the videos, passersby can be heard warning the young man not to jump, saying: “Don’t do that man. It’s not worth it,” but he ignored them and jumped in the manner of the fictional “Spider-Man”.
But the dangerous adventure did not work for Floyd, who was injured by his jump and eventually arrested by police, and authorities said he was taken to a medical center, but he was in a stable condition.

The police charged the young man with several charges, including “assaulting an officer and endangering his life with recklessness and misconduct”, as well as the first charge of driving without a seat belt.
