Yazmin Oukhellou suffered ‘extremely serious’ damage to her arms in horror crash

Yazmin Oukhellou suffered “extremely serious” damage to her arms in the crash that killed Jake McLean.

‘TOWIE’ star Yazmin, 28, is currently being treated for her injuries in hospital after the accident, which occurred when Jake, 33, reportedly lost control of the vehicle he was driving in Bodrum – a port city in southwest Turkey – and careered off a cliff.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “We’re crossing our fingers and praying she makes a full recovery quickly. It’s beyond shocking, just devastating for everyone connected to the show.

“Jake and Yaz are both very well known in our circles, and while he wasn’t a saint this is just unbelievably tragic. Everyone is stunned.”

Another show source added: ““Nobody is quite sure what they were doing out there — we thought they’d split up — but apparently he was involved in some sort of business deal.

“But whatever’s gone on, this is just heart-breaking. We hope to get a proper update on how she is soon. But it sounds very, very serious — perhaps life-changing.”

And Yazmin’s devastated mother Lisa is set to fly to Turkey on Monday (04.07.22) to care for her daughter.

An insider said: “Lisa is in absolute bits. She can’t speak to anyone. She is just so focused on getting out to Turkey to be by her little girl’s bedside in hospital. She is booked on the first flight she could get. She will go directly to the hospital from the airport.

“It is any mum’s worst nightmare and we are all just praying that Yazmin makes it through and is able to recover from her injuries.”

McLean and Oukhellou had been in an on-off relationship since May last year, after she broke off her long-term relationship with fellow ‘TOWIE’ cast member, 35-year-old James Lock.

Oukhellou ended her romance with McLean in January after she found out he had grown close to former ‘Love Island’ contestant Ellie Jones on a night out.

It is unknown when the pair got back together.
