A shocking video clip showed the moment a US Navy helicopter crashed into the side of a warship, in an accident that killed three soldiers on board.
According to the British newspaper, The Telegraph, the helicopter was trying to land on the USS Green Bay during military exercises in Queensland, Australia.
At the time of the crash, the helicopter was carrying 26 members of the US Navy, 23 of whom were rescued, while the remaining three died.

The helicopter crashed into the side of the warship until it sank 300 feet in the Pacific Ocean, and was later towed.
The video did not show the moment the helicopter sank in the ocean, as it was limited to a stumbling landing on the side of the warship.
The pictures showed a large hole in the cockpit of the helicopter as a result of the crash, and this made it sink quickly in the ocean water.
The three dead could not get out of the cockpit of the helicopter, which entered military service in 1989, when the accident occurred.
