The Norwegian Cruise Line smashed into a submerged iceberg, causing severe damage and halting its voyage.
Citizens on board filmed terrifying scenes of the ship’s hull hitting an iceberg immersed in the water, which caused a problem in the ship’s hull that stopped it from completing its voyage.
And the media compared the accident to the collision of the giant ship “Titanic” with an iceberg, but fortunately, the Norwegian ship did not sink to become another victim of this type of accident, as the ice mass was relatively small.
The scenes show the submerged mountain colliding with the underside of the huge ship, where one of the attendees confirmed hearing a strong explosion, crashing huge pieces of ice and hitting the ship several times as a result of water currents.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) indicated that the ice mass broke off from a larger glacier or ice shelf.
