A scientific magazine publishes scenes of a “bold” king snake devouring a snake larger than itself

A scientific journal published a report in which it sheds light on one of the strange phenomena that were recently observed in a snake devouring a snake larger than it.
The magazine noted that the scenes, which it described as “unusual”, were filmed in Haddock, Georgia, by 82-year-old Tom Slagl, who was surprised to find the two snakes “intertwined and swallowing each other.”
According to the scientific journal “livescience”, the eastern king snake (Lampropeltis getula) can be seen slowly moving its flexible lower jaw, and inside it is a wooden snake (Crotalus horridus) much larger than the mouth of the king snake.

“Many species of snakes are capable of swallowing much larger prey, such as deer, cows and even humans. However, this behavior does not usually include larger snakes because when snakes eat each other, which is common, it is usually the larger snakes that eat the smaller ones. “.
The magazine indicated that it is possible that the king’s snake had killed the other large snake before it began to devour it.
