A groom lost his money in “crypto” and became a thief

With strange naivety, a groom converted all his cash savings into digital currencies, thinking that he would make more profits, but all his money evaporated.

The loss of money for Briton Lewis Crosby came at a very sensitive time, as he was about to marry and in dire need of cash.

And after he discovered that he was the victim of a hoax in the world of cryptocurrency, he became a thief, according to what the British newspaper “Daily Mail” reported.
A Newcastle court heard testimony in the case of 25-year-old Crosby, an attempted grocery store robbery at gunpoint.

The man committed the crime an hour after he learned that he had lost all his money in digital money investments>

The man in the shop threatened, “Give me all your money, I have a gun.”
But the shop owner and the worker present at the time refused to surrender and resisted the thief, and they were able to snatch the weapon from his hand, and controlled his movement until the police came.

In the end, the court issued a reduced sentence to the thief, which is a suspended prison sentence, and the judge said in explaining the decision that the man’s “disaster” of the honorable coins he faced plunged him into a “mental crisis.”

The crime took place in late November last year, and the thief tried to hide and deceive the cameras by wearing sunglasses at night, a medical mask, a hat and a scarf.

He thought that those in the store would receive it directly, but the worker sped towards him like an arrow, even though the thief was drawing his weapon, and with the store owner he managed to subdue the thief.

In the initial investigation, Crosby said that what happened was a “joke”, but that did not convince the investigators.
