A groom “revenges” his bride at the wedding… and the police are chasing him

The groom did not forget the blow he received from his bride before the wedding day, even though it was a joke.

According to a circulating video published by several newspapers, the groom dealt a strong blow to his bride at the wedding ceremony and in front of the invitees, in an incident that was monitored by the cameras.

The incident took place in Sarkandaria, southern Uzbekistan, in Central Asia, on June 6.

While the bride was standing next to her groom on the platform and next to them two people, her groom surprised her with a severe blow to the head.

Several days later, the video spread like wildfire on the Internet.
Contributing to the spread of the video, the daughter of the President of Uzbekistan, Saeeda Mirziyoyeva, condemned the attack on the bride, after which the police moved to track down the groom.

Police say the groom is accused of “rioting”, but will only face a 15-day prison sentence and a fine if convicted.

A committee in the Uzbek parliament said the groom “apologized to the bride and expressed regret for his actions”, at a neighborhood hearing attended by the couple’s relatives.

She added that “the newlyweds reconciled on the same day and now live with each other.”
