The Spanish authorities have arrested two German citizens, including a star in the “Bundesliga” league, after a girl claimed that they sexually assaulted her on the Spanish island of Ibiza.

A report in the British newspaper “Sun” indicated that the National Guard in Spain did not reveal the name of the prominent star in the German League, who was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the case of the rape of an 18-year-old Spanish girl, inside a villa in the San Jose area.

The newspaper quoted well-informed sources as saying that the teen was transferred to an Ibiza hospital after the incident, which occurred on Wednesday morning.
The sources did not clarify whether the two arrested suspects were brought before the investigative judge in a preliminary hearing in the court, which could decide to release them on bail or pretrial detention.

The sources stated that the accused German player, aged 25, recently extended his contract with his club, which is one of Germany’s most successful teams.
