The United Nations cannot confirm the veracity of Ukraine’s accusations against Russia over the grain

A spokesman for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stephane Dujarric, stated that the United Nations cannot confirm the validity of Ukraine’s accusations of Russia “looting Ukrainian grain.”

“We are in contact with the WFP office, and they have not confirmed these accusations,” Dujarric said during a press conference on Tuesday.

It is noteworthy that Russia rejected Western and Ukrainian accusations of the food crisis, and affirmed its readiness to guarantee the passage of Ukrainian grain ships in case Ukraine removes mines from the ports.

It also indicated the possibility of exporting grain through the Russian-controlled ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk and through the territory of Belarus.
