A Chinese envoy criticized Britain and the United States of America for the accusations leveled against China in the UN Security Council.
During an open debate of the Security Council on strengthening accountability and justice against serious violations of international law, Dai Bing, China’s deputy permanent representative to the United Nations, said, “I would like to note that in their statements, representatives of the United States and Britain leveled baseless accusations against China. Which is totally rejected by China.
“As the saying goes, to hide a lie you need a thousand lies. Allegations of ‘genocide’ or ‘forced labor’ in Xinjiang are the lies of the century,” Ping said.
The Chinese envoy added, “The United States and Britain are concerned that the international community will realize the truth of their “fabricated lies” about Xinjiang, so they thought of more lies to discredit China, hoping to continue to mislead the international community.”
“No amount of lies spread by the United States and Britain can deny the sobering facts of Xinjiang that it enjoys stability and prosperity, and that its people live and work in peace and happiness,” he said.
