A 14-year-old boy has escaped the jaws of a crocodile that attacked him while he was playing with his friends near a river in eastern India.

Om Prakash Sahu, while playing with his friends in the Kani River in eastern India, was attacked by a 7-foot-long crocodile, which dragged him away and clung to the boy with its jaw.

After a ten-minute battle, Saho managed to escape from the crocodile after punching the animal in the forehead and eyes area.

According to the authorities in the Kendrapara district of Odisha, Sahu remains in hospital in a stable condition despite suffering injuries and deep wounds.

The crocodile attack that Sahi was subjected to is the third of its kind within a month in the same area around the Petarcanica National Park, according to the British newspaper, “Daily Star”.

Citizens residing near Petarcanica are increasingly concerned about the presence of 1,784 crocodiles in it, some of which may escape through water bodies and water outlets, despite the park’s commitment to all preventive measures to prevent these reptiles from leaving their place.
