Today, Monday, the UAE strongly condemned “extremist Israeli settlers storming the courtyard of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the Israeli forces.”
In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation reiterated its firm position on the “necessity of providing full protection for Al-Aqsa Mosque and stopping serious and provocative violations in it, and the need to respect the role of the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in caring for sanctities and endowments in accordance with international law and the existing historical situation, and not compromising the authority of the powers of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.” Administration of Jerusalem Endowments and Al-Aqsa Mosque Affairs.
The UAE Foreign Ministry called on the Israeli authorities to “reduce the escalation and end the state of tension and tension,” stressing “the importance of exercising maximum restraint to avoid drifting to new levels of instability.”
The UAE stressed the “importance of supporting all regional and international efforts to advance the peace process in the Middle East, as well as putting an end to illegal practices that threaten the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.”
