The American network “Netflix” added a warning to the opening episode of the final season of its famous series “Stranger Things”, in the wake of a school shooting in the US state of Texas, which left 21 people dead, including 19 children.
The first episode of the fourth season of the sci-fi thriller premiered around the world on Friday, just days after the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Ovaldi.
The first episode begins with a scene of a telekinetic carnage, which depicts several dead children covered in blood.
“We filmed this season of Stranger Things a year ago, but given the recent tragic shooting of a school in Texas, viewers may find the opening scene of Episode 1 distressing,” said the Netflix warning ahead of the episode.
And the American network continued: “We are deeply saddened by this unspeakable violence, and our hearts are with every family in mourning for one of their members.”

A spokesman for “Netflix” stated that it decided to add the warning to the first episode of the series, “due to the close date of its presentation to the Texas attack, in addition to the fact that the opening scene of the episode is very clear.”
The warning will only appear to viewers in America.
Netflix also added a description that includes: “Warning: Contains graphic violence involving children.”
