Sergey Kravtsov, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, stated that the new rules of Russian orthography envisage capitalizing the word “God” at its beginning.
In his statement, the Russian Minister of Education pointed out that “the rules of Russian spelling and punctuation were adopted in 1956 and did not regulate the rules for writing words related to the religious sphere or in any way.”
In this context, the Russian minister noted that “the new draft Russian orthography suggests the following: it is necessary to write the word (Lord) in capital letters, and similarly in large letters to write the names of the apostles, prophets and saints.”
