Russian social networking site VKontakte has launched a separate application for communications and conversations, the company said.
The company said in a statement: “The social network “VKontakte” has launched a separate mobile application “VK Messenger” where users can access group chats of more than 1,000 people, in addition to the feature to hide messages and audio and video calls without restrictions.”
Other features of the app include “the ability to record voice messages and read their texts, send music, stickers, photos and videos, as well as files up to 2 GB, share geolocation, and transfer money.”
Users of “VKontakte Messenger” can also access features not available in the main application: the ability to hide the last time of activity, as well as to hide all messages after a while, the ability to change the design of the entire application and individual conversations, including wallpapers and font size.
It is noteworthy that “Vkontakte” is a social networking website that can be accessed for free, almost similar to the social networking site “Facebook”. The site is one of the most popular sites in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan, and is popular among Arab users. It was established in 2006 and contains many languages, including Arabic.
