Muscovites arrange romantic dates at McDonald’s

73

Romantic dates increased dramatically at McDonald’s among Muscovites, after the famous chain of restaurants left the Russian market.
The extent of the increase in the proportion of dates is evident from the research data of the dating software “Rosdette” for smart devices, according to what the website “moslenta” reported.
“Forbidden fruit is sweet,” said Roman Levy, director of development for Russian language programming service “Rosdet”. A few months ago, such requests for romantic dates seemed very strange and even offensive, but now they are desirable. We saw long queues in a Moscow restaurant. The only one now open.
Currently, only one McDonald’s restaurant operates in Moscow, not counting points at airports, and two other branches also operate on Russian soil in the Moscow countryside and Saint Petersburg.

The US fast-food chain McDonald’s announced that it is withdrawing from the Russian market and selling its business assets.
“After more than 30 years of operation in the country, McDonald’s has announced its exit from the Russian market and has begun selling its business in Russia,” the company said in a statement.
On March 14, the McDonald’s chain of restaurants announced the temporary closure of its 850 restaurants throughout Russia, against the backdrop of the Russian military operation in Ukraine.
